Later that night, we had our second (and probably last) cooking class with our group and four Chinese coordinators, Gloria, Marine, Vicki, and Rainy. We decided to treat them to a little American treat, but it really turned out to be a Mexican treat, which is American ish, right? Anyways, our group helped make soft shell tacos, with cilantro lime rice, and homemade salsa. We were all a little nervous how Mexican food in China would turn out, but it turned out to be quite tasty. The most exciting part of the night was that this was our coordinators first taco, ever! When we handed each of them their own taco, ey hardly knew what to s with themselves. It was an exciting way to end the day.
I will be spending the next four and a half months in Zhongshan, China teaching little ones the English language. After rigorous training and a long awaited departure, I plan to leave the US February 21st 2013 and arrive back at the end of June 2013. I can't wait for the adventures ahead of me, and I will try my best to keep all of you updated on them!

Day 105: iPad Probs
Well, the day started off quite terribly. I went to try and unlock my iPad to shut off my alarm, only to realize I didn't know what my pass code was. I had a pass code the day before, 2580, which is a straight row down of numbers, but it was not that when I woke up. I don't recall changing the pass code, and everyone else in my group said that they didn't, so I suppose I changed it in my sleep? Who knows what really happened. All I know is that I ended up having to restore my iPad, and I lost everything, except my pictures, THANK GOODNESS I backed those up, I would have been devestated if I had lost them. I was pretty bummed about the situation in general, but it ended up turning out ok.
