After lunch, I played with little Fecky, which is Victoria's cousin. She was so scared of us last time we visited, but I think that she eventually warmed up to the idea of foreigners being in her home. She is absolutely adorable, though, and has such a contagious laugh. I kept tickling her, dancing with her, spinning her around, basically making her crazy, and Victoria got on her for being too crazy. I felt so bad that I accidentally got her in trouble, I just couldn't help but play with the cute little one.
She spent a few minutes in "time out" so she could wind down, and as soon as she was out, we resumed playing and stare to take so many pictures with my camera. Well, she actually took the majority all of the pictures, and they were of the cement or people's feet and filled up my memory card completely with them, hahaha. However, that's not important, all that matters is that we both had a good time with each other. I'm mostly just happy that she will talk with me now!
We spent the remainder of the afternoon singing our hearts out at another KTV. They really do love karaoke here;I wish it was this big back home. It's so fun to get a group together and go sing terribly to all the popular songs.
We then joined the rest of her family for dinner at this family style restaurant. The meal was delicious, but the most memorable thing about the meal was when Jenna brought out her tiny felt monkey she found earlier that day when we went for high tea. She played with the monkey, put it on top of things, and it even went swimming in the garbage bowl at one point. I don't know why, but it was such an entertaining event. The mood was light, and every one was laughing, so I suppose that's all that counts anyways!
We finished out the night by going to the Caribbean palace with a bunch of Victoria's and handsome cousin's friends. There were so many people there, performers, fireworks, etc. Also, seeing as how it's a holiday, many more people were out. Lexi, Jenna, and I (and eventually we forcefully got Victoria) got up and danced up on the stage for a song or two. All of our friends just kept saying that we were so crazy, but they loved that we had the guts to go up. It was overall a good day and night, we will truly miss our friends in DongFeng when we leave.
Also, I forgot to mention earlier that we met so many new people today, and they all wanted English names and to for us to teach them some English. So, we started out by giving a record number of names (while being in China) throughout the day, which happened to be, drumroll please...a total of seven: Eric, Stephen, Kobe, Robby, Mason, Pat, and Easton. It felt like quite a success, especially because some had a hard time accepting one of the many names that we threw out. It really is an art naming an individual who already has a name and a personality, I mean, some names just do or do not fit. Anyways, it was fun and I always enjoy the name game process :)
