The cafeteria served my favorite breakfast noodles this morning, the chunky ones with scrambled eggs in them. I had a double heaping, I just love them so much.
We had all six teachers back in the kindergarten today, so class went smoothly and the kids were much more manageable. It's nice having a little order back in the room.
Little Edward was feeling sick this morning, so he came and sat on my lap and cuddled with me for the entire milk break. Although I hated seeing his sweet self ill, I loved every minute I got to snuggle the little cutie.
Today was store day! Store day means one, that opening is shorter. Two, the kids are better behaved because naughty behavior means no store. And finally, the kids get so excited when they get to choose a prize after all their hard work. Even if they just win a sticker, they couldn't be happier.
We had painting class today! Although I am seeing little to no progress in that class, I still attend and try my best. I just sat and peacefully painted away, listening to Bon Iver, for about an hour.
The Shiqui group and five of us from Kaiyin taught ten little ones, ages 5-7, a dance that we will all be performing for a commercial tryout this weekend in Guangzhou. I will go into further detail about this later, but it should be quite the hit.
They served beans at dinner! Two of my favorite things from the cafeteria in the same day?!
What an outrage! The green beans are so good here, they have such a savory sauce and little zip to them that just keeps you wanting more and more.
We bought our train tickets to Beijing! It's official, I will be there two weeks from now, leaving April 26th and our group plans to be there for a week. I seriously cannot wait.
I got all caught up on my emails to friends, missionaries, and different school related matters. It feels good to be in top of things.
I FaceTimed Carmelo and I found out he will be in Beijing the same time we will be! We made plans to meet up with him there and a variety of different viewpoints, as he called them, that we want to see. It should be a wonderful trip with many cool things to see and do.
