I will be spending the next four and a half months in Zhongshan, China teaching little ones the English language. After rigorous training and a long awaited departure, I plan to leave the US February 21st 2013 and arrive back at the end of June 2013. I can't wait for the adventures ahead of me, and I will try my best to keep all of you updated on them!

Day 39: April Fools
All I have to say for myself is that I am not only a terrible daughter, but I'm a terrible human being. Tonight, we called a few of our moms telling them that we were possibly being sent home, as an April fools joke of course, and my phone call was taken a little bit too far. My poor mother was so sad, and yet still defending me, when I was playing such a cruel prank. I officially hate April fools day and choose to no longer participate in it. Sorry again mama bear, I suck. To the rest of you, a word of advice for this day: be wise in your pranks and think them through, they're not always as funny as you think.

Oh Kasey...what is a Mom to do? Of course I was so sad, shocked and ready to defend you when I got that call!
ReplyDeleteI was barely awake and not even tuned in to the fact it was April Fools Day. I have recovered and my blood pressure is back down...get some rest, forget about it and don't ever scare me like that again!
I love you kid. Have a good week and keep making such a great impact on the kids you teach.
Mom
Oh miss Kasey -- Good, good prank -- bad, bad choice of subject. You should have done that to ME, and not your mama. I would have just called you a few names and told you that your were dumb.
ReplyDeleteHappy April Fool's Day. You did a good one!
I love you kid.
Suuuuuuch a funny prank! Only because the reality of it is that it actually DID happen to me! Dumb kid...clever though. I thought it was brilliant. Had it not been a joke it would've been much less funny.
